Horrific footage shows a young girl being dragged to the ground and kicked in the head during a vicious attack by a gang of girls.

The clip, which was taken at a park in Aveley, Essex, shows at least four other young girls dragging the victim to the ground, kicking her and pulling her hair.

Loud screaming and laughing can be heard as the girl desperately tries to cover her face and protect herself.

The mum of the victim has revealed her daughter has ADHD, and says she believes parents have had discipline “powers taken away from them,” following the “disgusting” attack.

The June 5 attack on Laura Wigg’s daughter Keisha went viral within hours of being posted.

The 14-year-old was captured being punched in the head at Belhus Park.

Laura, 31, says she found the footage “disgusting” and has decided to share her daughter’s story in an attempt to change the way children are prosecuted when they commit assaults.

The clip shows Keisha, who has ADHD, being kicked whilst lying on the ground, including on the head.

A girl in a grey top can be seen standing opposite a girl wearing all black and begins to slap her in the face and punch her in the stomach.

The girl in black then walks away from her attacker appearing to try and get away from the situation.

The footage then shows three girls surround her before one of them lunges at her and soon three girls are punching the victim repeatedly.

The video was shared by the girl’s uncle

She then sits up as the other girls continue to slap her on the head.

One of them can be seen pulling her hair as “someone punch her in the face” can be heard before the clip ends.

The shocking footage has been retweeted thousands of times

Speaking today, Laura explained the different emotions she’s been through following the incident.

She said: “One minute I’m upset, the next minute I’m angry, the next I want to go smash something.

“I think they [police] will just give them a warning, which is not good enough.”

“If it was an adult involved we would be held accountable, it’s disgusting.”

Adult support worker Laura went on to describe how she feels parents are unable to properly discipline their children and described what she would have done if the tables were turned.

She added: “If it was my child who had done what they did to Keisha, I would have told the girl to punch my daughter in the face.

“They have taken away our responsibilities as parents by not letting us discipline our children

“I used to be smacked as a child and it didn’t do me any harm.

“But then again, they’re the ones sending their kids off with fancy phones etc. It’s a catch 22 situation, you can’t win.

“Something needs to change. What would have happened if they had killed her? It’s not as if they had kicked her in the legs. What in case she ends up having a brain problem, it’s lucky they didn’t blind her.”

However, after initially been wary about the video being in the public domain, Laura says Keisha is glad to see it’s had a positive reaction.

She said: “I told her ‘you could go on to be an advocate for young people about this.”

“The rapper Jay One met her and gave her a ticket to go see him.

He captioned his post: “To anyone who lives in Aveley of Essex please share and find these girls as they are a disgrace by the way this is my friend’s niece and she is traumatised by this!”
