A 15-year-old girl plunged 90ft to her death after posing for a sunset picture on a high-rise block of flats.
Ekaterina Chernova asked a friend to take the snap on the roof of the nine-story building.
But she lost her balance and fell in Moscow, Russia, it is believed.
Ekaterina, who died instantly, has become the sixth young female to be killed or severely injured in Russia while trying to take the perfect photo.
These other tragedies are understood to have involved selfies.
“She asked a friend to take her picture with the sunset in the background,” one distraught friend wrote on Facebook.
“She loved this kind of picture very much.
“Then she lost her balance or stumbled.”
Other devastated pals paid tribute to Ekaterina.
They called the teenager a “ray of sunshine” and a keen musician.
“Why does the world take away such happy people,” wrote one mate.
Friends have gathered money to pay for Ekaterina’s funeral, which will take place in Moscow on Thursday.
Police are now investigating why a door to the roof of the apartment block was left open.
In the similar cases in Russia, teenagers have reportedly tried to capture the perfect selfies on roofs of high-rise buildings.
Another was “burned alive” after seeking a selfie in an electricity substation.
But in an astonishing miracle, Milena Popova, 15, survived falling 100ft after trying to take a “daring” rooftop selfie to mark her birthday.
The accident happened in Tyumen, eastern Russia, last month.
