Game of Thrones is coming to an end after eight incredible seasons this weekend but there’s still one instalment left to shock fans.
Last week, fans watched on in horror as Daenerys Targaryen (played by Emilia Clarke) torched the entirety of King’s Landing while in a mad rage.
As a result, many of the show’s most-loved characters were killed off, including Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster Waldau) and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).
However, there’s a theory out there suggesting they’re alive and Jaime is actually cursed.
One Reddit user has spotted the Lannister man causes each of his children with his sister to die whenever he goes home.
Flip2428 wrote: “Overtime Jaime returns to King’s Landing another one of his kids dies.
“Joffrey dies when he returns from fighting/being imprisoned by the Starks.
“Marcella dies by poison en route to King’s Landing with him from Dorne.
“Tome [dies by] suicide while on his way back from helping the Freys.”
Most tragically, they also point out how Jaime’s unborn child with Cersei died in the womb when they were crushed under the collapsing Red Keep when the father makes his way back from Winterfell.
Jaime is famously known on the show as the Kingslayer as he killed the Mad King, Aerys Targaryen (David Rintoul), before he could destroy King’s Landing.
Not only that, fans think he is still alive and could be about to return to take the life of Mad Queen Daenerys.
Throughout Game of Thrones season eight, the cast have been quick to pay tribute to their friends when they were killed off or left the show for good.
However, there wasn’t anything for Jaime actor, Nikolaj, despite him sharing a heartfelt post for his co-star Lena.
Many believe it is a sign Jaime will make a surprise appearance in the finale, which will air on Sunday.
What’s more, Entertainment Weekly normally publish an interview with every actor who has departed the show directly after the instalment finished.
But no Nikolaj interview appeared and one eagle-eyed fan got in touch with them to see why.
The writer cryptically teased: “Holding that one for a bit…”
Does it confirm Jaime’s reappearance? And will he be after the Mad Queen?
Game of Thrones season eight concludes Sunday at 2am on HBO and is simulcast on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in the UK.
