Mr Rousteing, who was adopted by two white French parents in Bordeaux at the age of one, praised the Duchess of Sussex for her work in breaking down barriers. The star fashion designer, who has worked with the likes of Kim Kardashian and Bella Hadid, explained he asked his adoptive parents as a boy: “Are you sure you want a black child?” He praised Meghan for her role in solving this issue: “I love Meghan. It is an incredible step – more diversity, which is something I always had to fight for in my own little world. She is beautiful.”
Mr Rousteing said he had become fascinated with the royals when he was younger as the French first dissolving the monarchy in 1792 and again in 1830 after restoration with the Queen and Princess Diana catching his attention.
When asked if he would like to dress Meghan, he affirmed he would, because: “She has a confidence, a sexiness, but still respects the protocol.”
He was a bit less sure about American First Lady Melania Trump, claiming: “If she wants to ask me. I don’t know. She is an incredibly beautiful woman.
“Maybe if I meet her and I can have a talk with her.”
