FAMILY Dollar has launched a major change, rolling out a convenient service at more than 5,000 of its stores across the US.
With the discount chain’s partnership with Uber Eats underway, shoppers can expect to see three key benefits.

Founded in 1959, Family Dollar is one of the most popular discount stores in the US, alongside Dollar Tree and Dollar General.
The chain has widened its reach in the retail space, bringing its vast selection of affordable products to even more customers under its new partnership with Uber, the companies announced on Tuesday.
Uber Eats customers can now place orders from more than 5,000 Family Dollar stores across the country.
A large selection of Family Dollar items are now live on the Uber Eats platform, including everyday products such as cleaning supplies, snacks, and beauty products.
Customers can now enjoy the convenience of having the discount chain’s products delivered directly to their door, either on-demand or scheduled.
“By partnering with Uber Eats, it’s now even easier to access essentials from the comfort of home,” said Bonita Price, Family Dollar’s chief merchandising officer.
“Expanded access at an incredible value goes a long way in helping our customers save time and do more, especially in underserved communities.”
Uber praised the launch of Family Dollar on its platform as a major milestone in the company’s goal of making quality everyday essentials accessible and affordable to those in search of value.
To celebrate the partnership, Uber Eats customers can score 40% off orders of $30 or more, up to $25, from Family Dollar using the promo code FAMILY40.
Uber’s head of grocery and retail in North America, Hashim Amin, promised three key benefits of the collaboration between the transportation company and Family Dollar.
“This partnership expands affordable access to everyday items while giving people even more ways to shop smart, save time, and stay on budget,” said Amin.
Retail expert Dominick Miserandino, the CEO of Retail Tech Media Nexus, praised the new service for expanding access for consumers.
“With people working more than one job to get through this economy, perhaps this time-saving solution will help shoppers get easy access to lower-cost items on their schedule,” Miserandino told The U.S. Sun.

After opening the Uber Eats app, customers should navigate to the “Retail” or “Convenience” category.
They can search for the Family Dollar store and browse a wide range of affordable products.
Once consumers find the everyday essentials they would like to purchase, they simply add the items to their online cart, choose a delivery time, and place their order.
Uber Eats users can track their order in real time as their items are delivered to their doorstep.
The new partnership is not only aimed at increasing accessibility, but also helping to revive Family Dollar’s stance in the retail market.
The discount chain, which operates roughly 8,000 US locations, has faced ongoing difficulties since its acquisition by Dollar Tree in 2015 for $8.5 billion.
In March, Dollar Tree announced it would sell Family Dollar for $1 billion.
Just months before, bosses at the discount giant revealed they would be conducting 1,000 store closures.
