Falls Township shooting suspect Andre Gordon Jr. returns to Bucks County to face murder charges

Andre Gordon Jr., the Bucks County man accused of fatally shooting three family members during a violent crime spree last month, has been returned to Pennsylvania, officials announced Wednesday.

Gordon’s transfer came after he waived his right to an extradition hearing during a court appearance in Mercer County, where he has been behind bars since his arrest on March 16.

His alleged rampage began earlier the same day in Trenton, where police said the 26-year-old carjacked a woman, and then drove her vehicle to his father’s home in the Levittown section of Falls Township.

There, he shot and killed his 52-year-old stepmother, Karen Gordon, and 13-year-old sister, Kera Gordon, according to Bucks County District Attorney Jen Schorn. Another three people, including a minor, were inside the home at the time, but were able to hide from the gunman and were not physically harmed.

Gordon then traveled to the nearby home of his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Daniel, and allegedly killed her as she protected their two children.

Daniel’s mother, Nancy, briefly managed to fight off Gordon using the wooden handle of an ax, police said. She also suffered a facial injury after Gordon hit her with his semi-automatic assault-style rifle.

Gordon is further accused of carjacking a 44-year-old man at gunpoint in the parking lot of a Dollar General in Morrisville, Pa., before returning to Trenton. Authorities said he briefly holed up in a friend’s home there, where he changed his appearance and cut his hair before again fleeing from police.

Gordon was ultimately arrested walking down a nearby street. He was charged with carjacking and weapons offenses in New Jersey and is facing three counts of first-degree murder as well as burglary, unlawful restraint, reckless endangerment, and related crimes for the attacks in Pennsylvania, Schorn has said.

Officials have not yet released a motive for the deadly crime spree, but have said Gordon fought with his father prior to the violence.

Gordon is slated to be arraigned by a Bucks County judge before the day’s end.
