F1 set for fourth American Grand Prix as bosses ‘sign contract’ to race at £3.2bn stadium

F1 has reportedly signed a contract to race in Chicago for the 2026 season and beyond, guaranteeing that there will be four Grands Prix in the United States on the calendar.

According to a Fastest Pitstop report, the contract to bring F1 to the streets of Chicago has now been signed with a spot on the 2026 calendar set aside for the new event.

The report states that the event will happen around a new £3.2billion ($4bn) stadium that is set to be constructed in the city. The Chicago Grand Prix will also be a night race, taking place in the week before the Canadian Grand Prix.

When official confirmation arrives in the coming weeks, it will ensure that America becomes the first country to host four Grands Prix in a calendar year, joining races in Texas, Miami and Las Vegas.
