F1 LIVE: Lewis Hamilton 'tired' of Toto Wolff as Christian Horner saga takes another twist

Lewis Hamilton is enduring his worst start to a Formula One season with just 19 points to his name after the opening five races. The 39-year-old, who will leave Mercedes at the end of the campaign, has not had it all his own way as the Silver Arrows continue to lag behind the likes of Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari.

Mercedes will be hoping to improve their pace at the upcoming Miami Grand Prix, with their first performance upgrades of the season on the way. Toto Wolff is optimistic that the changes will represent a ‘good step’ for the team after they struggled to get their car in the right window in China.

“We have something coming for Miami that looks like a good step, let’s see where that brings us out,” said Wolff after the race in Shanghai. “It’s not an okay car. I think we can see what the mistakes were that we did on the car.

“I think we wanted to go a bit more aggressive to see [if it is] something that is so different that we need to do on the car and you can see Lewis took it on him also. That was maybe a step too far.”
