A STAR of the Dallas Cowboys’ largely forgettable season has landed himself a $12.2 million new deal.
The former undrafted free agent proved his worth in 2024 and has now cashed in.

Cooper Rush was backup quarterback to Dak Prescott at AT&T Stadium.
He was thrust into the spotlight after Prescott suffered a season-ending injury last year.
Rush took over as starter in Week 10 and went 4-4 in his eight starts.
He finished with 1,844 passing yards, 12 touchdowns and five interceptions.
That has caught the eye of the Baltimore Ravens, who have swooped for the 31-year-old.
He will become the team’s backup quarterback to Lamar Jackson.
Previous QB2 Josh Johnson left the Ravens to enter free agency.
And it also means Dallas is without a backup quarterback.
Rush battled with Trey Lance for the QB2 role, and Lance also left the team as a free agent.
Dallas has already said they will likely target a quarterback during next month’s NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
They had a season to forget in 2024, finishing 7-10 and third in the NFC East.
The 31-year-old stepped in as starter during the 2022 season as well.
He was 4-1 on that occasion with the Cowboys.
Rush was picked up by the Cowboys from 2017 to 2019 after going undrafted.
He had a very brief spell on the New York Giants practice squad in September 2020.

And the quarterback returned to Dallas a month later as backup to Prescott and Andy Dalton.
Baltimore has also signed wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins from the Kansas City Chiefs.
He agreed a one-year deal worth $5 million to switch from Kansas City.
Hopkins is excited at the chance to work with Jackson.
The receiver caught a touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl.
But his Chiefs team were hammered 40-22 by the Philadelphia Eagles.
