England boss Gareth Southgate is set to trim his 33-man preliminary squad to 26 over the next 24 hours. Tottenham star James Maddison and Liverpool duo Curtis Jones and Jarell Quansah have reportedly already learned that they will not be travelling to Euro 2024.
That leaves only four players to be culled as Southgate selects his squad to travel to Germany. The likes of Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo, Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite, Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins, and Crystal Palace duo Adam Wharton and Eberechi Eze will all fancy their chances of making the final cut.
England have one more game, against Iceland at Wembley, just hours before that squad is submitted to UEFA.
