Erik ten Hag spotted for first time since Man Utd sack as Dutchman’s ‘next steps’ emerge

Erik ten Hag has been pictured for the first time since being sacked as Manchester United manager at Carrington this morning. The Dutchman’s era has come to an end after two and a half seasons, with United languishing in 14th in the Premier League and 21st in the Europa League, and his reported next steps have emerged.

Ten Hag is said to have reported for duty as usual to start preparations for Wednesday’s Carabao Cup fourth-round clash against Leicester City at Old Trafford.

But he was then called into a meeting with chief executive Omar Berrada and sporting director Dan Ashworth, who informed him of the unanimous decision to part ways.

A report from The Sun has published an image of Ten Hag bowing his head in the back of a car as he left his Chesire home later in the day.
