Emmerdale spoilers: Maya Stepney returns in devastating Jessie Dingle twist

Maya Stepney (played by Louisa Clein) is currently behind bars for grooming schoolboy Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) but she is still causing trouble for village residents.

Emmerdale headteacher Jessie Dingle (Sandra Marvin) had no idea Maya had been manipulating Jacob for months and her handling of the issue will lead to her being sacked.

In upcoming episodes Jessie will face backlash in the aftermath of the horrific grooming scandal and it’s not long before some of the Dale residents turn against the headteacher.

While Jessie deals with becoming unemployed, Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) hits out at the former headteacher and accuses of failing to protect children.

Later on Jessie’s confronted in the Woolpack and she soon retaliates after feeling like she’s been unfairly backed into a corner.

Humiliated, Jessie reveals a number of shocking truths about the children in the village which isolates her from the Emmerdale residents even further.

As the villagers cope with Jessie’s revelations, the former headteacher begins to hit out at those closest around her.

Husband Marlon (Mark Charnock) and Jessie get into a massive argument as they marriage hits rocky ground again.

But things will go from bad to worse when their marriage comes under more strain as a new character turns up in the village.

Ellis Chapman’s (Asan N’Jie) father Al (Michael Wildman) is spotted wandering round the Dales by Marlon, who is shocked to discover he is the father of Jessie’s son.

Al’s motive for turning up in Emmerdale is unclear but it doesn’t look good for the struggling couple.

Are Marlon and Jessie heading for heartbreak or will they be able to get their marriage  on track?

Meanwhile Kerry Wyatt’s (Laura Norton) lies could be exposed as the village turns against her.

Frank Clayton (Michael Praed) was tragically killed after a fire at the Sharma factory last week.

As the police investigate the fire, viewers will know Kerry cut the CCTV camera while trying to steal the safe money.

During questioning, Kerry lied and claimed she saw Frank heading into the factory before the blaze.

However despite throwing detectives off the scent of her her and daughter, Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson), her daughter soon turns against her.

Kerry was left devastated as Amy revealed she had washed her hands of her.

When Amy discovers the truth she’s horrified and rushes off to tell boyfriend Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter).

Will Amy turn her mum into the police or will she give Kerry a second chance?

Emmerdale continues tomorrow at 7pm on ITV.
