Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s new home in England has reportedly flooded, weeks after they challenged similar reports on the heels of their post-election decampment to the U.K.
TMZ on Thursday published photos of the aftermath of flash floods that reportedly struck the stars’ 43-acre property in the Cotswolds, about 100 miles northwest of London.
Emmy-winning DeGeneres and the “Arrested Development” alum permanently moved to England in the weeks after Donald Trump’s reelection, with a source telling the outlet they wanted to “get the hell out” of the United States. The results of the election reportedly left the couple “very disillusioned.”
Days later, multiple outlets reported the couple’s new home was among those affected by massive flooding from storms Bert and Conall.
The former talk show host said that contrary to reports, their new home was A-OK.
“P.S. for those of you concerned, our UK farmhouse did NOT flood,” DeGeneres said in an anniversary tribute to de Rossi.
The reported U.K. flooding isn’t the first time the couple has had to contend with the elements.
In January 2023, the “Finding Nemo” star and de Rossi were forced to evacuate their home in Montecito, Calif. amid deadly storms and flooding that slammed the Golden State. DeGeneres at the time shared video of the damage caused by the “unprecedented rain” that led to the mandatory evacuation orders.
She has yet to post about the latest reported flooding.
DeGeneres has largely steered clear of the spotlight since toxic workplace allegations in 2020 brought her eponymous talk show to a screeching halt two years later. Earlier this year, she embarked on what she billed as her final comedy tour and special, “Ellen’s Last Stand…Up Comedy Tour” and “For Your Approval” on Netflix.
A representative for DeGeneres did not immediately respond to the Daily News’ request for comment.
