Louise (played by Tilly Keeper) is soon to discover she is expecting a baby with boyfriend Keanu (Danny Walters) after her recent kidnap on EastEnders led the young mechanic to realise he did love the teenager.
Keanu had been reluctant to pursue a relationship with Louise after his secret affair with her step-mother Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) last year, which is still to be exposed by either the teenager or her father, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).
Next week on the BBC soap, Louise will break the news to her boyfriend she is expecting having confided in her friend Bex Fowler (Jasmine Armfield) about her fears, despite having taken measures to ensure she wouldn’t get pregnant by getting the implant.
As her emotions take over, Louise runs off after telling Keanu about the baby, leaving him to speak with his mother Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) in a heated row between the parent and child.
Keanu tries to get through to Louise after hearing Karen’s stern words about accepting his responsibilities, ready to take on his role as a father.
Failing to get hold of Louise, what he doesn’t realise is she is talking with Sharon about the prospect of becoming a mother, which will surely floor the Walford stalwart having slept with Keanu some months ago.
When Louise finally decides to meet up with Keanu so they can discuss their next move, the teenager is hit by some unexpected news and now, actress Tilly Keeper, 21, has teased what’s to come for the ill-fated couple.
Speaking with Inside Soap about the storyline, Tilly said: “The baby revelation is a shock – yet there’s another curveball on the way!
“Nothing goes to plan in Walford, so I have some worries about Louise and Keanu’s relationship. The pregnancy throws everyone – and the news to come will floor Louise.”
Does this suggest the unexpected turn of events could see Louise and Keanu call time on their newfound romance before it’s even begun?
What would this mean for the future of the baby if the expectant mother and father were to go their separate ways if Louise decides to keep the baby?
The plot twist could also see the teenager dealt some heartbreaking news as she discovers she has suffered a miscarriage.
However, the harrowing news could make or break the young couple with the pair either determined to stand strong together, or Keanu disconnecting himself from the Mitchell family having finally come round to the idea of being a father.
Speaking about confiding in her unknowing love rival about the pregnancy, Tilly added: “At times like these, a girl needs her mum, and for Louise, that’s been Sharon over the past few years.
“They have a lovely relationship, and Louise confides in her about the pregnancy because she wants an adult to take charge at this point. I think that Sharon will always be there for Louise, no matter what happens.”
Viewers will have to wait and see how the baby plot plays out and what twists are to come for the young couple, but another shocking twist which could be about to dawn on Walford is the death of Jean Slater (Gillian Wright).
The Walford matriarch has been battling with stage three ovarian cancer after a devastating diagnosis earlier this year and Jean was recently reunited with her estranged son Sean Slater (Robert Kazinsky).
At the end of Tuesdays episode, Jean was seen telling Sean they could leave Walford and never return, knowing her son was plagued by the demons of his past.
However, scenes set to play out tonight will see Jean suffer an injury after she and Sean arrive at a farm, leading her fighting for her life.
Will Jean pull through as Sean desperately calls for help, or could this be the end of the Slater matriarch?
EastEnders continues tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.
