'Doing this 25 minute exercise daily helped me lose 2 stone in 3 months'


A self-proclaimed stay-at-home mum has explained the 25 minute-long daily exercise that helped her lose over two stone in just three months. Kitty Moana was 11st 8lbs at her heaviest in January 2024.

Come February, she decided something had to change and she embarked on a weight loss journey to shift the pounds. By the start of May, she dropped down to an impressive 9st 6lbs.

Kitty, who regularly updates her Instagram followers with her progress, has praised a ‘quick and easy’ daily exercise for helping her achieve a slimmer figure.

She says following the rule of always doing at least 25 minutes worth of cardio exercise a day has worked wonders. On Instagram, the mum demonstrates the different kinds of cardio workouts she does.

Sometimes she will spend 25 minutes dancing in front of the TV, or do some weight training. Other times, she will get on her treadmill and walk or jog for the duration.

In one of her most watched videos, Kitty explains: “On a serious note… 20mins of jogging / power walking a day combined with a calorie deficit & healthy eating was all I needed to achieve my weight loss goals in 4 months. I did do some light weight training but Cardio FTW.”

But that’s not all, as Kitty says there have been other ways, besides exercise, that have helped her lose weight. These include:

  • Following a calorie deficit.
  • Preparing low calorie and nutritious meals.
  • Educating herself on nutrition, healthy and happy living by reading helpful books.

Kitty added: “Nutrition, healthy choices, exercising daily all played a big role to my health journey success! Keeping consistent is key!”

In the comment section, one follower asked: “Wow…did you really run 7 days a week, like everyday, for the past months?” The mum admitted: “To be honest I might have had a few days off here and there but pretty much everyday I ran!”

In terms of what Kitty eats in a day to maintain her weight loss, and stay fit and healthy, she has uploaded a video that gives viewers a general idea.

For breakfast, she will often make zucchini muffins with a side of yoghurt and fruit, which equates to 350 calories. She will also make a bowl of yoghurt, mixed with Biscoff, Weetabix and strawberries (290 calories).

For lunch, she will prepare herself chicken rissoles with mixed veg, including broccoli and red onions. Another lunchtime meal she makes herself is cooked beer with kimchi, salad and sesame seeds (390 calories).

As a snack, she slices up fruit, such as apple, strawberries, melon and grapes, and mixes them with maple syrup and a bit of yoghurt (170 calories). She also mentions taking daily energy and immunity booster juice shots.

For dinner, she sometimes cooks steak and pairs if with a poached egg and roasted vegetables (450 calories).
