The Detroit Pistons took the 3 train to the Barclays Center on Sunday afternoon ahead of their matinee matchup with the Nets after the New York City Marathon caused gridlock and shut down surface streets.

The team, who played the Knicks on Friday, likely stayed at a hotel near the Garden — though their commute appears to have begun at Clark Street in Brooklyn Heights. With the marathon still going in the early afternoon the team was unable to drive to their 3:30 p.m. date with the Nets.
Malik Beasley, Isaiah Stewart, Tobias Harris, Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey can be spotted in the video along with some of the city’s straphangers.
The disrupted travel routine did not seem to have much of an effect on the Pistons, who handily defeated the Nets 106-92 to improve to 2-5 and drop the Nets to 3-4.
It’s unclear what mode of transportation the team took after the game.
More than 50,000 participants ran the 26.2 miles race through five boroughs on Sunday.
