Dean Ambrose: What's next for ex-WWE star in AEW after Jon Moxley debut? Who'll he fight?

Ambrose debuted during the main event of AEW’s first ever show Double or Nothing between Kenny Omega and WWE legend Chris Jericho.

Jericho won this stunning bout with his new finisher the Judas Effect, which is a Spinning Back Elbow, and earned himself a future shot at the AEW World Heavyweight Championship.

Y2J then started praising himself in an arrogant promo but was interrupted by Ambrose who came out in his old hardcore gimmick of Jon Moxley.

Moxley took out the six-time world champion with a thunderous Dirty Deeds and did the same to the referee in a move that brought back memories of wrestling legend Stone Cold Steve Austin.

The ex-WWE Champion then targeted Omega as he brawled with him through the crowd and delivered a brutal Dirty Deeds before dumping him onto the stage below.

The 33-year-old wrestler is now set to feud with The Cleaner in the near future in what will be an absolute dream match.

Jericho will probably not be involved in the feud as he will battle “Hangman” Adam Page for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship.

The WWE Grand Slam Champion will wrestle his first match in AEW’s upcoming Fyter Fest show on June 29.

Moxley will also be busy filming the upcoming sports action film Cagefighter where he will be playing WWE star Randy Stone who is crossing over to MMA.

The Lunatic Fringe will be performing opposite former Harry Potter actor-turned-MMA fighter Josh Herdman as well as ex-EastEnders star Michelle Ryan.

UFC legends Anderson Silva, Georges St Pierre and Alexander Gustafsson will also be part of the cast.

The former US Champion reportedly left WWE last month due to creative differences as he grew frustrated over the direction of his character and the booking he was receiving.

But the Ohio-born star now seems set for great things as he will cut his teeth in the movie business and will then be part of a dream match with Omega.

The Cleaner is one of the biggest international superstars that reached immense fame during his stints in the independent circuit, Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling.
