Mighty Mike is currently competing in the Darts Premier League.

But in a revealing Q&A for sponsor Winmau, he revealed a love for all the iconic video game series.

Van Gerwen said: “I enjoy playing on the PlayStation.

“I mostly play one game – Call of Duty. I can’t wait for Verdansk to return.

“Everyone here is probably wondering what I’m talking about.

“But all Call of Duty players will know exactly what I mean. Verdansk needs to come back.”

MVG was referring to a popular online map named Verdansk that was removed from Call of Duty in 2001 but is set to return.

Dutch speed skater Kjeld Nuis was paying close attention to Van Gerwen’s question-and-answer session.
