James completed an £18million move from Swansea City earlier this month to become the first signing of the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer era.
The Wales international will be hoping to make an immediate impact at Old Trafford next season and help guide his new club back to the Champions League.
And the 21-year-old winger is already going above and beyond to impress his new manager.
James is currently on holiday in Dubai but is using his downtime to maintain his fitness.
On Sunday afternoon, the Welshman posted video footage from a recent training session with Kaizen 3 Performance to his Instagram story.
James was well and truly put through his paces by his coach, who has previously worked with David Luiz and Harlee Dean.
United fans will be over the moon to see their new signing hard at work, especially as he’s not due to report back for pre-season training until next month.
James is relishing the opportunity to play for the Red Devils and is already fulfilling his promise to ‘work hard’ for his new club.
“I think the ambition they’ve got for the club is amazing for the next few years – to get players in who are hungry and ready to work hard,” his said after moving to the Theatre of Dreams.
“I believe [in] that and I’m one of those players. I’m willing to work hard.
“It’s a challenge I’m looking forward to.”
James’ work ethic was one of the reasons why Solskjaer snapped him up, and the Norwegian expects him to flourish at Old Trafford.
“Daniel is an exciting young winger with lots of skills, vision, exceptional pace and a good work ethic,” Solskjaer said.
“He had a great season with Swansea and has all the attributes needed to become a Manchester United player.
“We are delighted and we are all looking forward to working with him.
“This is the perfect environment for Daniel to continue his development.”
