A couple who managed to shed an impressive 200lbs (90kg) between them have revealed the secret to their weight loss success – cutting out one thing.
Juggling a hectic work schedule, social events, household chores and more can often leave us feeling too exhausted to even think about working out or preparing a healthy meal at the end of the day.
However, as we all know, maintaining a balanced diet and regular exercise routine is not only beneficial for our physical health but also our mental wellbeing, skin condition, and overall energy levels.
A couple recently left internet users in awe after sharing their dramatic transformation online, which people say makes them “look 20 years younger”. The couple themselves say they are “happier than they ever have been”.
The husband took to Reddit to share a side-by-side comparison of their incredible transformation. User @moseyeslee added in the caption: “After 27 years we finally managed it. Took a bout with cancer, but it motivated us.”
His wife explained their weight loss journey involved joining a gym and adopting a Keto diet – a high-fat, low-carb eating plan. This typically includes seafood, meat and poultry, non-starchy vegetables, high-fat dairy products, and oils.
She added: “We got committed and then picked what we thought was the best way for us, which was Keto and joining a gym. Quote I think about a lot is, ‘if you want to be thin, diet, if you want to be healthy, exercise’.
“We wanted both health and exercise,” she added. “I often tell people they are no different than us, other than we are doing this, and they just need to start.”
Social media users were quick to comment on their transformation, with one saying: “You both look 20 years younger as well,” while another added: “You both look so healthy.”
Another commenter chimed in with: “You guys are adorable! Love the progress!” And a fourth wrote: “Awesome job! And congrats on beating cancer.”
One individual even asked if the couple were happier after their transformation, to which the husband responded: “That took a bit more work than the weight loss, but yes. I’d say were happier in this moment than we ever have been.”
