Zac Brown is seeking urgent court intervention to have an Instagram post by his estranged wife removed from social media, claiming it’s severely damaging to his reputation.
On Friday, the country star, 45, filed a lawsuit against 33-year-old model Kelly Yazdi, arguing that the post on her feed is in violation of a confidentiality agreement.
Court documents obtained by TMZ did not reveal the specific post in question, but confirmed that Brown is asking a judge to prohibit Yazdi from making any false, harmful or defamatory statements.
In her latest grid post, shared on May 4, Yazdi provided a long caption detailing an unnamed relationship that was “disguised as love” and included “Projections. Gaslighting. Threatening. Stonewalling.”
It’s not clear that she’s talking about Brown in the post, but writes about “narcissistic abuse” and a man attempting to control a woman.
Brown is now pursuing an emergency injunctive relief to compel Yazdi to remove the post he took issue with, though the court has yet to make a ruling on his request.
The couple was married in August but announced their separation just four months later in a joint statement, telling Billboard they were “in the process of divorce.”
“Our mutual respect for one another remains. We wish each other the best and will always appreciate our time together,” they said at the time.
