COUNCILS controlled by Reform UK will be banned from flying LGBT Pride flags from their buildings.
Only the Union Jack, St George’s Cross and individual county flags will be permitted, the party’s chairman Zia Yusuf announced yesterday.

He said the 10 English local authorities gained by Reform in last week’s local elections will move “at speed” to implement the rules.
Mr Yusuf said: “No other flags will be permitted to be flown on its flag-poles, balconies, reception desks or council-chamber walls.”
He initially left out county flags, sparking uproar from several Tory MPs including ex-Cabinet Minister Tom Tugendhat who accused Reform of “denying our history”.
Clarifying that county flags would be acceptable, a Reform source hit back: “The Tories seem more upset about Reform councils flying the union flag than their councils flying the trans flag.
“It sums up the state of the Tory party, the sooner they’re consigned to the dustbin of history, the better.”
Last year Conservative-led Great Yarmouth council was criticised by its MP Rupert Lowe for flying the LGBT rainbow flag.
Labour MP Mike Tapp said Reform’s plan would stop town halls showing solidarity with Ukraine by flying their colours.
