THERE is nothing worse than being excited to try a new product only to get home and realise it’s not for you.
And it seems plenty of people have that response to a new dip that has landed on Costco shelves.

Taking to Reddit, one unimpressed customer revealed that the dip was not something they ever planned to repurchase.
Taking a snap of the dip to share on social media, they captioned the picture: “‘Good Foods’ Chicken Taco Dip – will not repurchase.”
The Good Foods low-sodium dip was made with blended chicken, corn, cheese and jalapenos and is recommended to be eaten with tortilla chips for a yummy snack.
But not everyone was impressed with the Costco find, according to the Reddit thread.
The original poster continued: “I usually have pretty good luck with their dips (Toom is a house favorite) but this taco dip is very bland.
“Granted it is lower sodium per serving on the label, I’d hoped it’d be spiced enough to compensate, but not the case.”
They said they even tried to customize the dipping sauce at home to make it taste better.
“I tried many things, I experimented with varying amounts of cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, and cholula to make it palatable but nothing really worked well,” he added.
“My wife liked it ok (she’s not very adventurous food-wise) but not enough to warrant me buying it again.”
The post received a mixed reaction from Costco customers.
While many agreed the dip wasn’t up to standards, there were a few who loved it.
One person wrote: “It’s generally best to stay away from meat dips because if they’re good it’s packed with sodium or if it’s low sodium it’s tasteless.”
Another commented: “That looks like cat vomit.”
“I looked at this last time I was there, thanks for the report,” penned a third.
