Coronation Street spoilers: Viewers spot huge Emma Brooker exit blunder

Emma Brooker (played by Alexandra Mardell) prepared to leave Coronation Street tonight after discovering the truth about her paternity.

When Emma’s ‘dad’ tragically died earlier in the month, Emma was told by her mum that the man who brought her up wasn’t in fact her real father.

Out of respect for her ‘dad’ Emma decided not to find out who her real father was but Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) grew suspicious after discovering Fiona Middleton (Angela Griffin) was her mum.

While comforting Emma, Audrey learnt the truth about Emma’s mum, who was in a relationship with Steve in the past.

Steve finally came clean and told Emma the truth and, struggling to cope with the news, Emma packed up her things.

Emma later changed her mind in the episode and eagled-eyed viewers spotted a huge blunder that predicted the final outcome.

They took to social media to comment on the lack of belongings the barmaid was packing considering she vowed to move away for good.

One fan said: “Emma wears a different outfit every day yet she packs one suitcase to move out of Weatherfield for good!

“Maybe she donates to charity each outfit after she’s worn it?”

Another added: “I can’t believe Emma’s only got the one case, the amount of clothes and shoes the character owns.”

“The suitcase was even empty enough for Emma to pack a doll!” a third remarked.

A fourth sarcastically tweeted: “Emma’s suitcase is big enough isn’t it @itvcorrie? She could move into it!”

“Emma fitted her whole wardrobe in that case?”

Meanwhile, Emma star Alexandra has confirmed her future on the ITV soap.

“I’m more than happy to stay for as long as they’ll have me,” she told the Daily Star.

Alexandra went on to spill all on what it’s like playing the Coronation Street barmaid.

She continued: “I do still feel like a relative newbie.

“You’ve got people that have been in the show for decades, and I think you need to clock up at least five years before you feel any different.”

The ITV soap star revealed she has recently signed a new contract with ITV.

Although the actress didn’t confirm how long she would be on the Street for, she did admit she’d like to be part of the 60th anniversary celebrations next year.

Coronation Street continues Monday on ITV at 7.30pm.
