Tracy (played by Kate Ford) initially comforted Yasmeen (Shelley King) after she was robbed whilst taking the profits from the Speed Daal restaurant to the bank, having witnessed the dramatic ordeal on Coronation Street.
Yasmeen was trying to make amends when she was mugged, after Geoff (Ian Bartholomew) framed her for destroying Ryan Connor’s (Ryan Prescott) DJ equipment.
Geoff started his time in Weatherfield as a bubbly and charismatic character, but recent scenes have seen a darker side to his persona.
Viewers of the ITV soap have seen Geoff take control over certain aspects of Yasmeen’s life, telling her not to drink alcohol any more and urging her to stay in doors after a recent mugging.
However, as Yasmeen starts to become more shut off from the Weatherfield community as the ITV soap tackles the issue of coercive control, could Tracy once again come to her rescue?
Long-time fans of the soap will remember Tracy killed her boyfriend Charlie Stubbs (Bill Ward) in 2007 after she discovered he had been having an affair with Maria Connor (Samia Ghadie) behind her back.
The murder was a culmination of other revelations, as Tracy had also learnt Charlie had been psychologically abusing former Rovers Return landlady Shelley Unwin (Sally Lindsay).
Although Tracy pleaded self-defence, she was subsequently given a life sentence before a retrial and dismissal of evidence led to her return to the cobbles in 2010.
With Geoff mirroring some of the behaviour Charlie displayed, could Tracy pick up on Yasmeen’s harrowing ordeal and claim another life by getting rid of Geoff once and for all?
Some fans believe this could be possible, with one writing on a forum on Digital Spy: “I can see Geoff being killed off. And maybe Tracy will see the signs of he abuse and help Yasmeen kill him and say it was self defence like what Tracy did when she killed Charlie Stubbs.”

Another suggested because Tracy caused the fire at a flat in Victoria Street which claimed the life of Yasmeen’s son Kal Nazir (Jimi Mistry) in 2015, she could help Geoff’s victim to repent her guilt.
“I just think Tracy may be being shoehorned into this storyline because of her being responsible for Yasmeen’s son’s death,” the fan wrote.
“Knowing Corrie, they’ll have an unlikely friendship by the end of the year,” they continued. So could Tracy and Yasmeen team up to take down Geoff?
Upcoming scenes will see Geoff become even more sinister as Yasmeen defies his orders, leading to her being cutting off from her own family.
The storyline is set to play out for some time to come as Coronation Street teamed up with charity Women’s Aid to portray the reality of domestic abuse.
Speaking of the issue-based storyline, executive producer Iain MacLeod said: “I hope this story will help anyone going through similar experiences in the real world by highlighting that feeling undermined, belittled, controlled or intimidated by your partner is never okay.
“The old ‘sticks and stones’ adage is just plain wrong – words can be instruments of torture and manipulation.”
Elsewhere in Weatherfield, a newcomer to the cobbles is set to cause a stir as they devise a scam involving expectant mother Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell).
The pregnant barmaid will welcome her mother Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrobve) to Coronation Street in upcoming scenes, but the troublemaker will use her daughter’s situation to her advantage.
With Gemma carrying quadruplets, Bernie will steal a sample of her daughter’s urine to devise a money-making scheme.
Coronation Street continues tonight at 7.30pm on ITV.
