COMEDIAN Chris Lilley has appeared to confirm that his controversial sketch show could be making a comeback.

The Aussie comedy star became adored by viewers for playing the character of Mr. G. in  Summer Heights High – the popular 2007 sitcom.

In the show, Mr G was the Director of Performing Arts and it also introduced viewers to some of his other popular sketch show characters including student Ja’mie.

Now, Chris has revived the Mr G in a brand new social media post to tease a brand new project involving the character.

On his TikTok channel, he has shared a slew of cryptic clips that all have connections to the often controversial character.

One showed a pink exercise ball that regularly featured in his classroom roll across the floor whilst another showed the legs of a man dancing.

A third showed a man bouncing on the pink ball as a piano played in the background.

A final updated then declared: “Mr G is back.”

Further details as to exactly how Mr G will return are yet to be revealed.

It sent fans into a complete frenzy and meltdown with one saying online: “Do not play with us Mr Lilley. We’ve been waiting for Mr G’s star moment for YEARS.”

Another added: “OMG PLEASE TELL ME YOURE WELCOMING US TO MR G’S ROOM.”

Summer Heights High proved controversial and was eventually pulled from Netflix in 2020 amid concerns.

Many found it’s portrayals of issues including sexual abuse, racism and homophobia uncomfortable.

Its shocking portrayal of blackface and brownface eventually led to the streamer ditching it for good.

However, Chris told UniLad in 2023 that he wouldn’t change anything about his show and wished he could push the boundaries more.

He said: “I’m so proud of all my work, and I almost wish I could push the boundaries further.

“I wouldn’t change a thing.”
