Clever ‘hair transplant’ gardening hack will fill in empty patches on lawn

Empty patches on a lawn can ruin the appearance of what could have been a lush green space, but a Tiktoker’s genius “hair transplant” hack could be the solution and it requires no extra work.

The creator, Oliver Joseph shared his father’s clever hack on the platform and had people blown away by the simplicity of it.

The hack involves propping up the lawn mover’s back flap using a stick, while mowing to allow cut grass to distribute and fill in empty patches on the lawn.

Traditionally, lawn care experts recommend collecting grass clippings and disposing of them after mowing.

By leaving the mower door open, the grass clippings are evenly dispersed across the lawn as the mower moves, effectively acting as a natural fertilizer.

Allowing grass clippings to remain on the lawn also helps to retain moisture and nutrients, and promotes healthy soil and encourages grass growth.

As the clippings break down, they release essential nutrients back into the soil, providing a sustainable source of nourishment for the grass.
