“The water that sits in the bottom of your dishwasher can get smelly so add one of these once a week to freshen and disinfect and keep your filters deodorised.”

You can get your hands on a tube of 30 denture tablets for 87p meaning it only costs 2p each time you use one.

The video, which has raked up 22,000 views, has seen people to the comment section of the video to share other ways they have used the denture table, with one person writing: “Put one in the toilet bowl overnight, use in the shower drain after each shower.”

Claire then replied: “Yes!

“Loads of uses for them and so cheap as well!”

A second person said: “I use them to clean reusable water bottles.”

The item can also be used to help get rid of tea and coffee stains on cups. All you have to do is fill the cup with some warm water and add the tablet. The mixture should start to fizz meaning that it is doing the job.

Other means of denture tablets for cleaning include cleaning Tupperware, unclogging your drains, removing burnt food on pans, cleaning grout and getting rid of stains on your clothes.

Who knew there were so many uses for cleaning with denture tablets?
