The iconic point guard has been playing with the San Antonio Spurs this season.
And the 12-time All-Star returned to a team and city where he played some of his best years.
The Spurs took on the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night on the west coast.
Paul played for the Clippers from 2011 to 2017.
And the 39-year-old’s family still live in the city.
Paul posted after the game, “Remember what you do it for #KeepStackingDays #CantGiveUpNow.”
The message might have been a reference to the fact he’s not yet ready to retire.
He had nine points, two rebounds and three assists in a 122-117 loss for the Spurs.
Speaking to Andscape, the point guard confirmed that he is not done just yet.
“I’ll be 40 in May. So, yeah man, I’m going to keep playing, I think,” Paul said.
“At the end of every season, I evaluate everything.
“Evaluate playing. Evaluate how my body feels.
“But the more years that go by, it’s more conversations with my family, with my kids.
“They have a lot of say so. They got a lot of input.”
Only LeBron James has been in the league longer than Paul, who was drafted in 2005.
“Obviously, I got a lot of homies, friends that have retired or whatnot,” Paul added.
“And they are always like, ‘Man, play as long as you possibly can. Play as long as you possibly can.’
“And I appreciate that. But I also, I just always want to talk to my kids about it because that’s the most important job that I have.
“I love to play. I definitely love my kids and my family more than I like to play.
“Anybody who’s in this knows the sacrifice could goes longer.
“I said this summer I will evaluate it and talk to my family about it.”
