Vladimir Putin and China’s President Xi Jinping have agreed on a “solution” to the Ukraine war – while Zelensky’s army appears to be on the brink.
Speaking in Beijing on Thursday during the Russian despot’s two-day state visit, Xi said: “Both sides agree that a political solution to the Ukraine crisis is the correct direction.”
Vladimir Putin claimed that Russia-China relations “are not opportunistic and not directed against anyone” – adding that when the two countries co-operate, this acts as a “stabilising factor” on the international stage.
It comes as Russian troops have opened up a second and third offensive in Ukraine, with Putin’s army last week seizing nine villages in just two days.
