Chelsea team news: Predicted 4-2-3-1 line-up vs Norwich – Antonio Rudiger to make return?

Chelsea look to earn their first three points of the season on Saturday when they take on newly-promoted Norwich City.

There have been flashes of brilliance from Chelsea in their opening two matches, starting superbly on both occasions.

But, they lost their opening game against Manchester United 4-0, and drew against Leicester City 1-1 last week.

With Antonio Rudiger declaring himself fit for first-team action this weekend, it’ll provide a major boost to the Chelsea squad.

Kepa Arrizabalaga is Chelsea’s number one, and he’ll be starting in goal on Saturday.

Cesar Azpilicueta and Emerson Palmieri will return as full-backs, with the Brazilian left-back the preferred choice to Marcos Alonso.

Although Rudiger has claimed he’s ready for action, it’s unlikely that Lampard will throw him straight into the mix, and he’ll make his first appearance in the match-day squad this season, albeit on the bench.

That means Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen will continue their blossoming partnership at centre-back.

N’Golo Kante and Jorginho will sit in front of the defence, with Kante being given license to push forward in attacks.

Pedro and Christian Pulisic will likely provide width going forward, although Callum Hudson-Odoi is close to a return.

Mason Mount has started in both of the Blues’ Premier League ties this season, and he’ll be given the nod as a number 10, after scoring last weekend.

Meanwhile, Tammy Abraham will likely lead the line in place of Olivier Giroud, as Lampard continues to move in favour of youth.

Chelsea predicted line-up vs Norwich City (Premier League)

(4-2-3-1) Arrizabalaga; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Christensen, Emerson; Jorginho, Kante; Pedro, Mount, Pulisic; Abraham
