Cameron Norrie has withdrawn from the US Open after failing to recover from his ongoing injury.
The British No. 2 has already missed the Olympics and the Cincinnati Open.
Norrie has not played a match since losing to Rafael Nadal in Bastad a month ago.
Norrie announced that he would be pulling out of the US Open in a social media post on Friday. ” I have been working hard to get my body to full health – unfortunately my forearm injury is not recovering as soon as I would have hoped,” he wrote.
“Therefore I will not be able to compete in this year’s US open. I’ll take some rest and recharge. Can’t wait to get back to competing like a dog.”
