Caitlin Clark has laugh at Indiana Fever teammate’s expense after losing Unrivaled championship game

WNBA star Caitlin Clark couldn’t help but troll her Indiana Fever teammate Aliyah Boston after losing in the Unrivaled championship game on Monday.

Boston’s Vinyl BC Unrivaled squad lost to Rose BC, who became the champions in the inaugural season of the women’s basketball tournament league.

The Rose claimed the 62-54 victory and took home the first-ever Unrival championship.

Fever standout Lexie Hull played just four minutes in the game and recorded one assist for Rose BC, while Boston added 10 points and four rebounds in the loss.

Before the game, Clark realized that one of her WNBA teammates wouldn’t be too happy after the result, and displayed her realization by commenting, “One of them about come back angry and one happy uh oh,” on an Instagram post the Fever put together during the day.

After the contest, the Fever’s social media team congratulated Hull on being an Unrivaled champion.

“@lexiehulll and Team Rose are your first-ever @unrivaledbasketball champions congrats, Lexie!” the Fever’s Instagram account wrote.

The 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year Clark sent a message to Boston in the comments.

“@aliyah.boston you didn’t deserve this. I’m sorry,” Clark commented.

Boston responded to Clark’s quip, adding, “@caitlinclark 22 thanks pookie. I really needed this pick me up message from you.”

She seemed to reference Hull winning $50,000 for being a member of the Unrivaled championship winner, which was given to each Rose BC player.

Boston wasn’t done, as she made an X post and wrote to Hull.

“Dinner on you maybe?” she asked Hull.

In 2024, Clark and Boston showed that they are one of the best duos in the WNBA.

The pair, along with Kelsey Mitchell, were members of last year’s All-Star game and led the Fever to their first playoff appearance since 2016.

Hill was a contributor to the team toward the end of the campaign, earning a starting spot down the stretch.

CAITLIN Clark’s impact was already felt by the WNBA even before she was drafted.

The Iowa college superstar went No. 1 overall to the Indiana Fever in a surprise to absolutely nobody.

The Indiana Fever had 36 of their 40 games in the 2024 season scheduled for national TV – up from 22 last year.

Teams also moved their games against the Fever to bigger arenas to cater for the extra ticket demand.

Clark helped the NCAA draw 18.9 million viewers for the women’s championship game, more than the 14.8 million who watched the men’s decider.

She has also already signed a deal with Nike worth upwards of $20 million.

She will now get to enjoy bragging rights over Boston as the Fever’s upcoming 2025 WNBA season begins on May 17.

The opener will be against Angel Reese, Hull’s Unrival teammate, and the Chicago Sky.

Clark could receive an invite to dinner once the three of the Fever players work together in Indianapolis before the upcoming WNBA campaign.

She was reportedly offered more than the guaranteed $250,000 salary to participate in the eight-week Unrivaled season.

But Clark turned down the offer as she wanted to take some time off after a busy 2024.
