Three staff members at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center were stabbed by a male patient Wednesday morning.
The alleged suspect is in police custody.
The incident occurred inside the Strozzi Building at the facility around 9 a.m. The building houses the center’s inpatient services where people arrive after being referred from a general hospital in the area.
The victims — two men and a woman — were taken to Erie County Medical Center by ambulance. One of the men may have been seriously injured, police said.
Video shot outside the building showed several police vehicles, crime scene tape, ambulances and fire engines.
No other information, like what type of weapon the suspect used or where it came from, was released.
This is a developing story.
