Two British men who were shot dead in a car in Sweden were taken out in a ‘gangland style hit’, police have revealed.
The driver and passenger, both believed to be British citizens, were found in the burnt out wreck of a Toyota RAV4 that had been set on fire in Malmo.
The car had been rented in Denmark before being driven over the border to Sweden.
Firefighters rushed to the burning vehicle on a dirt road on Sunday afternoon where they made the grim discovery in the seaside city.
Police are refusing to rule out “gang violence” in connection with the case, which they are investigating as a double murder.
