Britney Spears incident at Chateau Marmont prompts ambulance call, concerns of breakdown

Britney Spears left the Chateau Marmont early Thursday morning barefoot and wrapped in a blanket after an ambulance was called to the Los Angeles hotel, sparking concern among her fans.

The “Toxic” singer, 42, was reportedly screaming and crying in the hallway of her suite while fighting with her boyfriend, Paul Soliz. Several guests, allegedly worried she was having a breakdown, called paramedics, according to TMZ.

Per the outlet, the couple got into an altercation that quickly turned physical and Spears may have hurt her leg.

Responders arrived around 1 a.m. and made contact with Spears, though she didn’t get inside the ambulance, according to multiple sources. She instead was escorted out of the hotel, appearing to be wearing only a tiny pair of shorts with a blanket wrapped around her body.

“Britney came out with Paul Richard Soliz and some others,” an eyewitness told ET, adding that a woman in Spears’ entourage could be seen speaking with paramedics. “Someone gave her a blanket to throw over and she had a pillow covering her front. She took a few steps and turned around and went back, not getting into the stretcher they had brought out.”

Shortly after, she reportedly left the premises without Soliz.

Sources told CNN Spears is now “home and safe.”

In a since-deleted Instagram post right before news of the incident broke, Spears shared a message suggesting photos were not really of her.

“Most of the pics are body doubles and I think most know that!!! I would like respect at this time for people to understand I am getting stronger everyday,” she captioned a photo of a shirtless male model.

She followed it up with another post Thursday afternoon, telling her fans “the news is fake.”

“I also twisted my ankle last night and paramedics showed up at my door illegally,” she wrote. “They never came in my room but I felt completely harassed. I’m moving to Boston!!! Peace.”

Representatives for Spears have not returned a request for comment from the Daily News.
