Britney Spears hung out last week with her ex-fiancé and former co-conservator Jason Trawick during the pop star’s Las Vegas visit with her brother, amid renewed concerns for her well-being.
The recently divorced “Gimme More” singer, 42, and her brother, Bryan, have remained close to Trawick and reached out ahead of their trip to arrange the reunion, sources with direct knowledge told TMZ.
The Grammy winner and Trawick spent time together — platonically — at least once during her trip to Sin City, with the trip down memory lane taking place at Resorts World Las Vegas, according to the outlet. The former couple began dating in 2009 and were engaged from 2011 until their 2013 split.
Though the exes are now just friends, some close to Spears told TMZ they’re cautiously optimistic things might take a turn for the romantic again in the future.
The reunion, after all, came less than a month after Spears and third husband Sam Asghari settled their divorce, ending their 14-month union.
In early May, guests at the Chateau Marmont feared the “Toxic” singer was suffering a breakdown amid a fight with boyfriend Paul Soliz, which ended with her hurting her leg and security escorting her out of the Los Angeles hotel.
By the end of the month, multiple insiders told TMZ they hoped Spears would be put under a new conservatorship, noting they believe her to be in “grave danger” due to her mental health, including erratic behavior and alleged increasing substance abuse issues.
Spears’ original conservatorship was terminated in late 2021 after more than a decade.
Spears reflected on the controversial conservatorship and the incidents that preceded it in last year’s memoir, “The Woman in Me.”
