Boy, 13, busted for slashing, stabbing Brooklyn teen in after-school brawl


Cops have arrested a 13-year-old boy for slashing another teen during an after-school fight in Brooklyn, police said Friday.

The teen is facing assault and weapons possession charges for the fight on Roosevelt Pl. near Atlantic Ave. in Brownsville at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.

The Daily News is not releasing the youth’s name because of his age.

His victim, also 13, suffered deep stab and slash wounds to his back during the brawl, cops said. The two are enrolled in different schools.

The victim attends the Eagle Academy for Young Men at Ocean Hill, a boy’s school located on Herkimer St. about a block away from where he was attacked, police said.

The victim was arguing with his attacker and several other students when he was slashed. EMS rushed the child to Brookdale University Medical Center, where he was treated and expected to recover.

Cops arrested the stabber at the scene without incident, cops said. He is being charged as a juvenile, prosecutors confirmed.
