B&M shoppers rush to buy summer essential that will help transform your garden scanning for £5 instead of £50

BARGAIN hunters are racing to B&M after a garden must-have was spotted scanning at the tills for just a fiver.

The bargain buy was reduced from £50, slashing a huge £45 off the price.

One eagle-eyed shopper couldn’t believe their luck and shared the find on Facebook. They posted: “Run, don’t walk! B&M scanning at a fiver. Was £50 originally, with a reduced to £25 ticket on it. Absolute bargain!”

The post sent social media into meltdown, with thrilled shoppers rushing to comment.

One user wrote: “I’m going straight there after nursery.”

Another added: “Thought £10 at Dunelm was good”

While a third said: “That’s so cheap, wow.”

Others said they were “getting there now” and “we need one!”.

The in-demand item is flying off shelves, with stock varying by store.

It’s only available in B&M branches, so shoppers should call ahead to check stock levels before making a special trip that could leave you disappointed.

B&M shoppers are giving their gardens a summer glow up with £12 bargain

You can find your nearest store using the store locator tool.

Price compare

It’s not hard to see why people are scrambling, the same item is selling for £33 on Amazon, which is significantly more expensive although the retailer does offer free home delivery.

B&Q is also selling a version for £34.99 at B&Q, and The Range has one listed for £36.79.

Some users online have claimed Dunelm is selling them for £10, which beats the other stores but still isn’t as cheap as B&M.

So B&M’s rock-bottom price of £5 is an absolute steal, and a good reminder of why it pays to shop around.

Even when you think you’ve bagged a good deal, there might be something that’s even better value.

Its always worth having a look at websites like Price Spy or Idealo, which work by comparing prices across different online retailers to see which one is offering the best value for money.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

It comes as B&M continues to roll out cut-price garden gear that’s great for sprucing up your outdoor space on a budget.

The discount giant recently slashed its Stone Effect Lawn Edging pack of four to just £2.50, down from £4, and is flogging its Wave Lawn Edging for only £1.50.

With warmer weather on the horizon, Brits are turning their gardens into sunny sanctuaries and B&M has a number of affordable outdoor upgrades.

The retailer’s Morocco Solar Powered Post Lights are going for just £2, a massive saving compared to the £19.99 version at B&Q.

And its Arched Garden Mirror is on sale for only £12 while a near-identical version from Dunelm will set you back £55 more.

Designers say garden mirrors are a clever way to create the illusion of added space.

The white frame design at B&M adds a stylish touch to any outdoor wall, transforming patios and flowerbeds without breaking the bank.

With deals this good, it’s no wonder shoppers are sprinting to stores.

Gadgets to transform your garden into a summer paradise

BRITS are sprucing up their gardens just in time for summer and top gadgets are the secret to turning your outdoor space from drab to fab on a budget.

A garden mirror is a game-changer, adding instant depth and style.

B&M is selling a stunning arched version that looks almost identical to one at The Range – but at a fraction of the price. Why shell out more when you don’t have to?

For those who love a lush lawn, gadgets are your best friend. Aldi is offering a handy electric scarfier that’s £120 cheaper than Bosch.

B&Q’s also got a budget £20 lawn aerator that’ll keep your grass healthy so it will look in tip-top shape all season.

It works by punching tiny holes into the soil, letting air, water and nutrients get right down to the roots basically giving your lawn a big breath of fresh air.

Plant pots are another quick and easy way to elevate your space and there’s no need to spend a fortune.

IKEA and The Range are offering £5 affordable plant pot picks, while Get Potted is selling Lechuza self watering plant pots from £13. The pots not only look good but are also equipped with a planter liner and watering system to ensure better plant growth no matter how small the decor surface.

But if you really want to put your feet up, budget retailers are going high-tech with robot lawnmowers.

One bargain version is £250 cheaper than a similar model at B&Q, and Currys has a wallet-friendly one too.

Let the robot do the mowing while you soak up the sun.

And finally, if you’re looking to level up your outdoor cooking, VonHaus is serving up a red-hot deal.

They’ve launched a dupe of the cult-favourite Ninja Artisan Pizza Oven but it’s £180 cheaper. That’s luxury alfresco pizza nights without the luxury price tag.

So whether it’s pizza ovens or lawn saviours, investing in a few smart garden gadgets could be the key to keeping your garden looking gorgeous all summer without spending a fortune.
