B&M shoppers are giving their gardens a summer glow up with £12 bargain

GREEN-fingered bargain hunters are going wild for this classy £12 plant pot adding an elegant twist to your garden design.

It’s proved perfect for a cheeky hack to replace tired old baskets without damaging the flowers you’ve meticulously tended.

B&M’s elegant grey plant pots cost only £11.99, perfect for DIY beginners.

All you have to do is drill a few holes in the bottom of the pot and whack some bricks and cardboard in it to give the plants some air to breathe.

Then top with a healthy sprinkling of soil, transfer your plants from your crusty old baskets or pots into the new swanky stone grey pots, and they should shoot into full bloom.

Home hack influencer Stephanie Larbey enthusiastically demonstrated the process.

Proudly prancing around in her husband’s bright green Crocs, she said: “I’m actually going to use the azalea I’ve already got, it gets really beautiful white flowers in the summer.

“See what I mean about these baskets needing updating.”

Repeating the process, she rehoused a different spring flower: “This lavender wasn’t doing well in its pot, so I actually bought some top-up lavender from B&M to help it on its way.

“And then it’s onto pot number three for this one. I bought  viburnum from B&M, and for this one (the smallest pot), I just filled it with some soil and stones.”

Hack sorted, quick soil sweep, and those little shoots will flower in no time.

Commenting on the video, Taryn Harriet Whipp wrote: “Really impressed with my B&M gardening things!

“Got some clematis last year in the late summer, and they’re absolutely thriving!

Another commenter said: “This looks absolutely stunning, I miss having a B&M with a garden centre.”

Beverley piled on the praise: “They look lovely, well done.”

Some chimed in that it would make more sense for B&M to sell them with holes in the design to save the drilling, but others pointed out that some customers might want to use them for different purposes.
