Billy Ray Cyrus has officially filed for divorce from Firerose, just seven months after the two singers tied the knot.
Cyrus listed their separation date as May 22, 2024, citing “inappropriate marital conduct” and claiming the marriage was obtained through fraud, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.
The request for annulment indicates the 62-year-old country singer is paying Firerose $5,000 per month to find housing in Tennessee until the divorce is finalized, or at least for the next 90 days.
Despite Firerose’s recent Instagram post celebrating their relationship, Cyrus’ social media presence has notably shifted. He has not posted about his estranged wife recently, and the two no longer follow each other on Instagram.
The seeming end of their relationship marks the conclusion of the “Achy Breaky Heart” artist’s third marriage. Cyrus was previously married to Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991 and to Tish Cyrus for nearly three decades, sharing three children: Miley, Braison, and Noah, before divorcing in April 2022.
Just four months later, he was engaged to Firerose, the now-34-year-old Australian singer-songwriter. The two first met on the set of “Hannah Montana,” during its run from 2006 to 2011.
Earlier this year, Billy Ray was noticeably left out of daughter Miley’s Grammy-acceptance speech, prompting speculation as to a possible rift in the family.
Separate reports that same month added more tension to the mix, alleging that Tish’s now-husband, Dominic Purcell, had been romantically involved with daughter Noah, before Tish “stole” him away.
