Best-selling Lakeland heated airer gets £70 discount in two-day deal – costs 9p to run

As the winter months continue, temperatures are likely to remain low, which can mean drying laundry at home takes particularly long.

When weighing up energy efficiency and practicality, using a costly tumble dryer isn’t always the best solution, however heated airers guzzle far less electricity, and could save you money long term.

The Dry:Soon three-Tier Heated Clothes Airer from Lakeland has proved popular in recent months, especially when price drops have occurred and the device has rivalled other brands.

Yet again, Lakeland has reduced the airer, slashing £70 off and reducing it from £199.99 to £129.99. On this occasion, however, the deal is running for a limited time only and will end on January 1.

The three-tiered airer holds two washloads or 15kg of washing and has 21m of drying space, plus it costs from just 9p to run.

Having racked up over 1000 reviews, the device has plenty of feedback, with one shopper saying: ”Great product dries clothes perfectly and is energy efficient highly recommend this product!!!!!” [SIC]

Another commented: ”This product is essential for all those mild but wet days where you don’t want to put the heating on or tumble dry. I also don’t hang all my things out in Spring on account of a tree pollen allergy. I can now do a big load of washing on the weekend and get it dry overnight. Very useful product. I have just bought another one for my son’s shared house where outdoor space is tiny.” [SIC]

However, one shopper was less positive: ”Bought this after spending years ruining clothes on radiators. Very easy to put up and store away. Dries clothes quickly if they are quite dry (high spin) but can take a while for wetter clothes.” [SIC]
