Dragons’ Den sensation Sara Davies has left fans in awe with her stunning weight loss, dropping three dress sizes and transforming her figure. At 40, the spirited entrepreneur flaunted her new look after divulging the lifestyle tweaks that led her to slim down.
Gracing the PeakeFest business event, Sara dazzled in a full-length, vibrant gown, her golden locks styled sleek and straight as she graced the stage. The photos shared on social media left her followers astounded, with one exclaiming: “Wow! You look amazing!”
Incredibly, Sara has reportedly gone from a size 16 to a size 12. Earlier this year, she shared her secret to shedding three dress sizes following an embarrassing episode on Dragons’ Den, according to The Mirror. “I had to size up in all my clothes, and I was mortified. It was the biggest size I’d ever been wearing, and it really got to me,” she said in a candid chat with Closer magazine.
“I stopped having chocolate and cakes, but also cut back on carbs and ate more veg than fruit.” Sara also made the decision to stop drinking alcohol and reduce her sugar intake, even when on a night out with the fellow Dragons.
She explained: “During filming we go for dinner as a pack of Dragons, and Peter Jones has very nice, expensive taste in wine, but I feel so much better for cutting it out.” In a separate interview with The Mirror, Sara previously spoke on the pressures of being a business owner too.
Her £37 million company, Crafter’s Companion, faced financial turmoil amid the cost-of-living crisis and effects of Brexit. Despite her role on Dragons’ Den where she supports struggling businesses with investments and expertise, Sara exposed that her online venture, supplying artisanal products across the globe, recorded losses of £1 million last October with expectations of further deficits come this April.
Amidst hiring top-tier professionals for a colossal restructuring endeavour, including drafting in a digitally-savvy CEO, Sara revealed to The Mirror: “I’m just going to be really honest, it has been a rough couple of years. And I kind of don’t want to shy away from that because I always feel, especially with my role on Dragons’ Den, I’ve got that responsibility of being a bit of a role model. I’ve had to work harder than I ever have in my life.”
