Barbara Eden recreates ‘I Dream of Jeannie’ disappearing act in Spain

With a blink and a nod, the world’s favorite genie, Barbara Eden, is still captivating audiences and working her magic — and now, adding real estate to her portfolio.

The 92-year-old “I Dream of Jeannie” star posed with a Mallorca, Spain, real estate agent named Marcel Remus to recreate an iconic moment from the 1960s series, which starred Eden as a genie discovered by a stranded astronaut played by Larry Hagman and brought back to civilization, with hilarious results.

American actor Barbara Eden holds her hands up and smiles while lying on her stomach on top of cushions on an oriental rug, in a promotional portrait for the television series'I Dream of Jeannie'. Eden is dressed in a green genie costume. Colorful vases surround her.

Her Jeannie character would appear and disappear with no warning, and in the recreation decades later, the whimsicality and magic were as strong as ever.

Striking the cross-armed pose on Instagram alongside Remus in front of a giant poster of her as Jeannie in a scarlet pantsuit, the nonegenarian with a twinkle in her eye vanishes from the shot.

“I make your dreams come true,” says Remus, who then finds himself astonished and alone, Jeannie having gone up in a puff of smoke.

He is standing in front of what looks like a mansion fronted by palm trees, and speaking mostly German. The spot is part of a lengthier interview, also in German, with Eden (who is dubbed), showing her glowing and laughing, exuding joy.
