No matter how clean and tidy you keep your bathroom, the damp and warm conditions can sometimes cause mould to form.
This is especially true where the shower is concerned, as it’s very hard to keep this area dry.
Mould can end up forming in those hard-to-clean areas, such as in between the grout in your tiles and in the shower sealant as well – making your whole bathroom look unsightly and dirty.
However, according to one expert cleaner on social media, there’s one simple trick that will revolutionise the way you clean your shower, as it gets rid of mould and even stops it from coming back too.
And you only need three simple ingredients to make the mixture, making it the perfect easy hack for removing mould and grime.
The trick was shared by Australian lifestyle influencer and mum Chantel Mila, who has gathered an impressive 1.5 million followers thanks to her valuable cleaning tips on TikTok.
And her recent shower-cleaning tip, which is said to help bust mould, dirt and grime even in the most hard to reach areas, has proved hugely popular with fans – racking up thousands of likes.
In the video, she said: “This hack will change the way you clean your shower and fix tough mould.”
All you need to do is grab three ingredients – dish soap, tea tree oil and hydrogen peroxide – and a clean dish sponge, and it’s then as simple as mixing them all together.
Add in two tablespoons of dish soap into the tube along with a dash of hydrogen peroxide and 20 drops of tea tree oil before securing the lid back on top.
Chantel said: “The hydrogen peroxide helps whiten and rid tough mould in your shower, while the tea tree oil removes the spores to keep mould away. You can use it on grout, tiles and even your shower door seal. Leave it for 15 minutes before rinsing to reveal your shiny shower.”
In the video’s comments, people thanked Chantel for sharing her tip, with many clean to try it out for themselves.
One person said: “This is so good!” Meanwhile another commented: “Gonna try this for sure.” To which Chantel replied: “So glad it’s helpful!”
