Our furry friends mean the world to us, and we’d do anything for them. But there’s no denying that the hair they shed everywhere can be a bit irritating at times.
Whether you have unexpected guests and you’ve not had time to vacuum the living room, or it just isn’t picking up the ingrained pet hair, it can leave you feeling embarrassed – but it doesn’t have to be this way.
TikToker @kevreviews4 shared that his friend had just got their keys back from a property they had been renting out, and the old tenants had a pet – so the carpet was in desperate need of a clean.
But when vacuuming alone wasn’t doing the job, he opted to use a pet hair scraper. Products similar to the one he used can be purchased in a pack of two on Amazon for just £3.99.
He scraped the carpet with vigour, and immediately the pet hair started to come up as he said: “Look at what you can see.”
“It’s working wonders. All the loose hair, it just drags it up – there’s loads and loads and loads and loads. The more you scrape, the more hair you get,” he gushed as he watched all the hair come up from the carpet.
Kev referred to it as an “excellent bit of kit” and claimed it would work whether you were a landlord, a renter, or a homeowner if you’ve got a pet.
It could even work for normal debris, too, as carpets are prone to pick up all sorts of rubbish.
He said that it could “bring the carpet back to life” and gets up all the animal hairs, joking that it looked like “a scene from CSI” once he’d finished scraping it all.
“There’s enough fluff there to make a new animal”, he quipped, saying that on the TikTok shop, the one he’s using in the video can be found for “less than a tenner.”
In the comments, people were really excited to try the product, with one writing: “I remember buying the little version a few years back and thinking ‘man I wish they did this in sweeping brush size!’ and now it’s heeerreeee I’m totally buying it. I need this in my life.”
Someone else wrote: “Sounds like he’s working up a sweat,” and another said it “looks like hard work.”
“How much?” someone asked, and he said they were now up to £10.90, but it’s worth checking because the TikTok shop regularly hosts flash sales and prices fluctuate.
