Video footage has revealed the shocking moment a bridge in Baltimore completely collapsed into a river after being struck by a ship.
The Francis Scott Key Bridge was hit by the Singapore-flagged container ship the Dali in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Videos of the incident have emerged, showing the ship slowly impacting the bridge, bringing the entire span down into the river below in just 10 seconds.
Chief Kevin Cartwright, director of communications for the Baltimore City Fire Department said “as many as seven individuals and several vehicles” have fallen into the river.
