WE’VE all stayed in nice hotels with your classic beach views – but there are some we visit for their weird factor alone.
Across the globe there are some pretty crazy hotels, and On the Beach has given us their top five, from Flintstones-themed to Barbie resorts and even a mini-Amsterdam.

Caves Beach Resort
Have you ever watched the Flintstones? Well, this unique resort in Egypt makes you feel like you’re in the Stone Age.
The entire hotel looks like a cave, from the exterior down to the rooms.
In a standard bedroom, you’ll find stone walls and floors with animal print bed covers.
The four restaurants are also Flintstones-themed, step over to the Bambam Grill House, Pebbles Teppanyaki, or Wilma Oriental.

Guests can even dress up as their favourite Flintstone characters, so you might even spot Fred on the loungers.
Titanic Duluxe Lara
For anyone who has ever wanted to stay in a hotel and act out the famous Kate and Leo Titanic scene, this is it.
The Titanic Deluxe Lara, in Antalya, Turkey, is a hotel designed in the shape of the famous ship.
There are 586 rooms with a choice of annex rooms, as well as duplex suites, junior suites, colonel suites and admiral suites.

Kremlin Palace
It turns out that some of the wackiest hotels are in Antalya, because this is the second on the list and it looks exactly like the Kremlin Palace in Russia.
The whole design of the hotel, which has 875 rooms and suites, is inspired by the Kremlin in Moscow.
The hotel is also huge, with five à la carte restaurants, a 24/7 restaurant, six snack bars, nine bars, and nine swimming pools, including a kids’ splash park and waterslides.

Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel
This hotel is a pink Barbie paradise and feels more like Miami vibes than Ibiza.
It’s packed to the brim with art, with galleries, and it even has an on-site tattoo studio for anyone who wants to commemorate their trip.
The pastel-pink pool area with stylish cabanas screams Barbie Dreamhouse.
Inside the rooms are funky prints, a retro-style telephone, a Smeg fridge, and a Marshall speaker.
One particularly wacky part of the hotel is called the Zero Suite, a glass-walled room smack-bang in the middle of the lobby that’s free to stay in for the night.
It claims to give guests the chance to be a live art installation.
Let’s face it, this hotel is as Instagrammable as they come with one guest saying: “Absolutely gorge hotel with a super aesthetic.”

Orange County Resort Hotel Kemer
At first glance, this resort is like a mini-Amsterdam, but actually, it’s once again in Turkey.
This quirky hotel has a huge red windmill right on the beach – and is far from your standard hotel.
Orange County Resort is inspired by Dutch architecture, with a giant windmill, a main swimming pool inspired by their canals, and colourful houses.
One guest confirmed on TripAdvisor: “The old Dutch design is amazing and you think you’re walking in Amsterdam.”
Is This The World’s Most Remote Hotel?

IS this the world’s most remote hotel?
The Sheldon Chalet is a mountain-top chalet, boasting some of the most impressive Alaskan sceneries and comes with a hefty price tag of $35,000 (£26,000) for three nights.
The five-bedroom chalet is perched on the ridge of the Don Sheldon Amphitheater on Ruth Glacier, Alaska, and can only be reached by air.
The spectacular setting is 6,000ft (1,829 meters) above sea level and was once only accessible by ski-equipped plane.
The mountains, in Denali National Park, are home to grizzly bears, caribou and wolves, and some of the most impressive Northern Light displays in the world.
Included in the minimum three-night stay is helicopter shuttle service, a private concierge, gourmet dining, and activities such as sledding, glacier trekking, and mountaineering.
We also found some of the quirkiest hotels in the UK from floating hotels to old forts.
And step inside the Spanish hotel where every room is game-themed, with retro consoles and an on-site water park.
