THE Kansas City Chiefs have made a number of moves at Travis Kelce’s position.
Kelce, 35, is coming back for another season and holding off retirement.

And the Chiefs are planning around the franchise icon being on the side in 2025.
The reigning AFC champions signed two undrafted free agents last week.
The NFL’s transactions report also shows they let two tight ends go.
Anthony Firkser and Baylor Cupp were both released last Wednesday.
Firkser, 30, was signed to the Chiefs practice squad last November.
He then agreed a reserve/future contract after February’s Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Cupp, 24, was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2024.
He was placed on the practice squad last season and then also signed a reserve/future contract in February.
The pair were both released on May 1, the NFL transaction wire shows.
Kansas City has recently signed two undrafted free agents from the 2025 rookie class.
Jake Briningstool and Tre Watson will join four other tight ends on the roster, including Kelce.
Noah Gray, 26, was Kelce’s understudy last year and played in every game of the 2024 season.
Jared Wiley, 24, was taken in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
But his rookie season was cruelly cut short due to a torn ACL.
Kansas City also has veteran Robert Tonyan, 31, on their roster.

He was signed to their practice squad in December having previously played for all four NFC North teams – the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings.
Chiefs general manager Brett Veach recently revealed Kelce’s changed role for 2025.
“You’ll see Travis have more of an impact,” Veach told the Kansas City Star.
“Maybe it’s not in production but it’s the offense.”
He added, “The numbers won’t be the same.
“I mean, you have to acknowledge a certain aspect of that, right?
“I don’t know if I look at it in terms of expectations for yardage or touchdowns or catches.
“I think that when he’s on the field now, he makes us better.
“And I think that he’s also a guy that makes the people around him better.
“And when you have a guy that’s that connected with a quarterback, it’s almost like a little bit of him and Pat are a conductor for everybody else.”
