Amy Dowden: Strictly pro hits back as Karim Zeroual walks out of training in 'frustration'

Karim Zeroual, 25, opened up about his progress whilst training for Strictly Come Dancing 2019 yesterday. The CBBC favourite seemed exhausted when his professional dance partner Amy Dowden, 28, filmed him as he caught his breath following an intense rehearsal. Sharing an update on their dance with her 79,000 Instagram followers, Karim admitted: “I’m feeling hot, to say the least, but I’m good and getting through the routine now.” When quizzed by the Welsh dancer about whether he “loved” dancing, the presenter candidly replied: “I absolutely love it.

“There’s some bits though… I had to leave the room, didn’t I have to leave the room?”

Addressing her partner’s exit, Amy explained: “Yeah, out of frustration.”

“There’s one bit that I love so much that I lose the count,” Karim added.

Fortunately, the Strictly contestant confirmed with Amy he has now “nailed” the tricky part of the routine.

The star gushed: “Just nailed it, it’s a good feeling,” as he did a triumphant dance.

However, the happy dynamic suddenly changed between the pair when Karim got a little bit too close to Amy while wearing sweaty clothes.

Amy completed her look with a pair of white trainers and a khaki green jacket featuring a floral embroidery on the back.

The duo took to the CBBC Instagram account, in view of their 76,700 followers, to answer a series of questions from fans abut their upcoming first performance on the dance competition.

When Amy was asked if Karim was a good dancer, she said: “Yes he is, but he has got to learn the technical fundamentals.”

And when Karim was quizzed on his nerves, he replied: “Yes, I am very nervous.

“I am genuinely really nervous, I’ll be even more nervous when I’m standing on those stairs waiting to come out to perform.”

The Strictly Come Dancing 2019 live shows kick off Saturday, September 21 on BBC One.
